What is a "Pre-Calibrated Replaceable Sensor Module"?Like any other analytical instrument, breathalyzers require periodic reccalibration to ensure their accuacy. Pre-calibrated and field replaceable sensor modules is a patent pending technology built in our new generation of breathalyzers that has resolved all problems and complications around this calibration process. Re calibration of a breathalyzer is an attempt to learn and compensates for the sensor loss of sensitivity due to contamination and aging. The calibration process does not remove contamination but it determines any diviation of BAC step levels (step thresholds) from previously calibrated levels. Can calibration process remove contamination and fully rejuvinate a semiconductopr sensor? The answer is NO. Our experience shown that multiple calibartions of one semi conductor sensor often fails and sensor replacement is required. This has been the main problem with using breathalyzers in critical applications. Unfortunately, the re-calibration process requires that the breathalyzer be physically mailed or taken to a professional service center, at which point the device must be evaluated and proper steps must be taken for calibration with an expensive breath alcohol simulator system. The process is costly for both consumer and the service center, not to mention the delays involved in processing and shipping back-and-forth that can be quite a loss. The Pre-calibrated and field Replaceable Sensor has eliminated delays and complications of re-calibration by allowing users to simply "snap out" an old sensor module and "snap in" a new module. This way, you go back to a reliable and accurate testing in a matter of seconds & it only cost $29.95 for each sensor module.
