The AlcoMate Pro improves upon the AlcoHawk Pro by taking a deeper lung-air sample, allowing for more precise measurement of blood alcohol concentration (BAC). The AlcoMate Pro uses the same sophisticated alcohol sensing technology as AlcoHawk Pro, but provides a higher level of accuracy and sensitivity expected by the industry professionals and consumers who seek the best in performance and reliable.
Air Flow Control
The AlcoMate Pro now includes flow sensing technology. An important aspect of breath testing is to ensure that subjects exhale enough volume of air through the tester. AlcoMate Pro will verify that enough air has been blown before displaying a test result. If AlcoMate recognizes that not enough air was blown, an error message "ERR" will be displayed and the test should be repeated. Because the AlcoMate Pro measures the amount of alcohol in a subject's deep lungs breath, a longer breath sampling provides more accurate test results.

Frequently Asked Questions
What is the difference between the AlcoMate Prestige and AlcoMate Pro model?
The AlcoMate Prestige and AlcoMate Pro are very similar devices except two key differences. The AlcoMate Prestige has the ability to change the sensor yourself, while the Pro must be sent in for calibration. The Prestige also has an updated sensor and software to provide a more accurate test result.
How many tests can I perform with the AlcoMate Pro before I have to calibrate the device
Under ideal testing conditions, the AlcoMate Pro
should perform roughly 300 tests before needing a sensor replacement. Continuous testing with higher amounts of alcohol may potentially wear out the sensor faster. The Pro breathalyzer's test counter will let you know how many tests you have performed.
