I have had two other portable battery charger/air pumps in the past and within six months they both became useless because their internal battery would not take a charge. These not only charge up fine but hold their charge riding around in the trunk or the car for months. I use them for pumping up bicycle tires and have jump-started three different vehicles using the item.
